Matrix Private Equity Partners - The Small Buyout Specialist
The private equity arm of Matrix Group, Matrix Private Equity Partners LLP, manage funds, primarily through a range of venture capital trusts (VCTs) raised from private investors. Our total funds under management are approximately £120 million across four funds.
We make equity investments, typically up to £7 million, in UK privately owned companies and help entrepreneurial management teams to achieve substantial gains for all shareholders.
Our award winning team specialise in backing management buy-outs (“MBOs”) and our investment criteria cover a very broad range of industries and sectors financing expansion and acquisition. Within the sectors we invest most frequently, we work with a highly experienced Operating Partner who has direct management experience and a wide range of contacts.

In addition, we provide a comprehensive administration service to Venture Capital Trust Boards, covering all of their accounting and Company secretarial requirements. Our team includes qualified accountants and company secretaries, and plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of these companies, liaising with each VCT's fund manager(s) and other professional advisers.
