Mark White joined the team at Matrix in December 2006. Over the last 10 years he has worked in project and corporate finance at HBOS plc and UBS AG respectively, specialising in the areas of energy, infrastructure and technology. He has a MSci in Physics from Cambridge University.

Ruby joined Matrix in March 2007. Before joining Matrix Ruby lived in India acquiring real estate investments as principal investor and setting up the foundations of a private real estate fund with a local Indian developer. Her expertise encompasses fund management and fund structuring, real estate acquisitions, equity structuring and debt structuring. Prior to India, Ruby worked in the Real Estate Finance Team at Merrill Lynch. Ruby has a MSc in Political Economy of Transition in Eastern Europe from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Politics from Bristol University.

John joined Matrix in January 2007. Before then, he worked in Ernst & Young LLP’s Investment Management Group, providing financial and tax advice to listed and AIM-traded closed end investment funds. He has advised on many types of transactions, including flotations, fund raisings, mergers and reconstructions. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

James has a background in international corporate finance with Dresdner Kleinwort, where he was a Managing Director responsible for Power and Utilities and Emerging Markets. Since then he has focused on renewable energy, founding Envirocapital Ltd and most recently Matrix Biofuels LLP. He has advised Governments in Europe and Latin America on investment and privatisation in the power sector and has wide international experience of the renewable energy sector across many of the renewable technologies. He has a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Nicolas joined Matrix as a consultant in December 2007, working as a new business developer. He has spent his working life in the investment management and financial services arenas, in particular as Head of New Business at Mercury Asset Management and Head of Private Clients at Credit Suisse Asset Management in London.
